In our modern world, everything tends to be digitalized, mass-produced and future-focused. Simultaneously, there is an urge to flee from our daily lives by diving into the mysteries of the past. From visiting ancient architectural sights to experiencing historical events through the arts. The past continues to inspire us. The studio Studio Zoran Strijbosch creates products for those who wish to take a step back into time. The design studio was founded in 2020 by Zoran Strijbosch (he/him) and combines his love for history with high quality, industrial design. The first product by Studio Zoran Strijbosch is Alumina; a modern twist to the traditional oil lamp. Alumina is an ode to fire, displaying its incredible visual power. It grants the opportunity to play with fire and discover the element that changed our existence. The oil lamp is handmade from solid aluminium and produced on request. This way, the quality is kept high and the product full of love.

Zoran Strijbosch is an Amsterdam-based product designer with a BA from HKU University of the Arts. His work is inspired by his great passion for (art) history. ALBA, Zoran Strijbosch’s first design project, made it clear that he wanted to eternalize his connection to the fire element and create products that were inspired by the past.
