Through years of building continuing relationships and furthering professional exchanges studio mo man tai advocates the principle of reciprocity and this project; 'PyraSied x mo man tai' illustrates that perfectly. The co-development of this piece of furniture and the expertise in fabricating the 'Reciproce' cabinet.

Compositions of colorful gradients have been a recurring element of Ulrike Jurklies’ work - the ‘Reciproce’ cabinets celebrate this in a playful design. By positioning the classical sliding-doors; one can orchestrate the overlay of the printed doors produced from semitransparent Versato® Myst acrylic. Also the objects inside the cabinet interact with and potentially become part of the visually entertaining appearance. Fully closed - the circular central window may draw focus on a particular piece inside or simply mimic a small, translucent chinese wedding chest in a modern/playfull interpretation

For this project, PyraSied Xtreme Acrylic teamed up with Ulrike. The cabinets are built from their in-house developed Versato® Myst series, an acrylic which absorbs light, diffuses and remains partly transparent at the same time. The ‘Reciproce’ cabinets are illuminated on the inside with “Stogger wireless LED modules”, mounted onto their patented ‘Power board’.

The striking piece of furniture will be presented for the first time during designjunction - London’s leading destination for design during the annual London Design Festival.
