The collection room of Villa Polder is an excellent example of how beautiful diffuser material can be applied in combination with sunlight. Mostly, diffuser plates are used in order to spread LED-lighting or fluorescent lamps. Denkkamer shows with this project that diffuser plates are also suitable for natural light. Denkkamer, who designed the collection room for a penthouse on the top floor of a listed building, was looking for sheet material which would not lose the natural light in the room. The collection room is designed as a physical space that is also used to separate two bedrooms of each other while maintaining the generous amount of daylight in the bedrooms. The shadows give a first insight into the collection. This gives a subtle and playful effect.
