The hovenring bridge in Veldhoven is an exceptional beautiful example of a project whereby different material characteristics are required. Both the top as the bottom side of this bridge is provided with diffuser sheets. These diffuser sheets were required to have different material characteristics for the top sheets as for the bottom sheets.

On the top side of the bridge are diffuser sheets of acrylic used that are providing extra safety because of the thickness and stiffness of the sheets. This is needed because there is a possibility that the sheets are accessed by people. For the bottom of the bridge was chosen to select an impact-resistant diffuser sheet made of polycarbonate. It is chosen to use impact-resistant material because of the chance that stones or other loose materials can fly up to the material and can make scratches.
