In February 2019, Bea Knijf completed her Master's Degree-Edelsmid, Academie voor edelsmeden Van Helden , training with the masterpiece 'Morning Glory'.
Bea works with base and precious metal in a surprising setting. Shape, color and material are important in creating playful, narrative objects that challenge a conversation and at the same time adorn the wearer.
The necklace 'Morning Glory' is made of silver and acrylic. The silver has cutouts like a halo through which the light can pass and, together with the acrylic, makes a play of colors on the skin.
The acrylic colors are chosen to the first light moments in the early morning, as they can be seen in the Dutch landscape and specifically at the Viewing point Kagerplassen near Bea.
